Tro Music - While working in communist labor camps, I often thought of Cambodian classical music produced by a Tro instrument, it generated sounds that went perfectly with the image of desolate open fields filled with warm air. That music understood my feelings and comforted my soul.
Em's Lullaby - My mother hummed this very lullaby and lyrics the night the Khmer Rouge seized us after my little brother Kheang and my father escaped.
